Georges Zahar was born in Beirut in 1962. He grew up in Lebanon, completed his engineering studies in the US in the 1980’s, and has been living there since then.
He spent nearly 30 years as an investment professional at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank. During this time, he was primarily involved in project/corporate finance to developing economies on a global basis.
Georges has a passionate interest in photography. Other than the intersection of street photography and photojournalism, his main focus is landscape photography for which he travels extensively, most notably to visit and immortalize America’s National Parks. He currently resides in Washington, DC.
